Default Wrought Iron Balconies

Does anyone know where I can research wrought iron? I am looking to buy some
balconies, but I understand that wrought iron comes in (at least) two
grades, so I would like to research it before I enquire. If anyone has any
merchant recommendations, even better.

TIA

Bob

Wrought or cast, galvanised or just painted , probably loads of other
questions which humbly suggest would be better asked and answered on:

alt.crafts.blacksmithing
sci.engr.joining.welding
rec.crafts.metalworking

You should find metal works and metal workers in your Yellow Pages and
Thomson Directory. Agricultural engineers and blacksmiths also work with
wrought iron. uk.diy also worth a try.

Well firstly you will not get wrought iron unless you go to a specialist as wrought iron is now not commercially available and really is only used for restoration purposes and this will be extremely expensive you can get cast but the most cost effective way is steel (which is widely refered to as wrought iron)
A guy who runs a site called www.irongatecompany.co.uk is very good I have seen some chandeliers he did for a church and he made me some handrails for my back garden which look brilliant and he was quite cheap
