Another possibility -- Get a pair of knee-high stockings and put one inside
the other to make a double layer. Partially fill with beans or sawdust or
similar. Tie knot in open end.

Even easier -- buy one of the gel rests at a yard sale for a quarter. If the
cover is ripped, use the aforementioned knee-highs to cover it.
