That's a 65,000 mile treadwear warranty.

As for the other stuff, I would agree that it was unlikely to have
been a manufacturing defect. There's a whole lot of stuff that a tire
manufacturer can't reasonably cover under warranty.

My mom bought Bridgestone tires from her Caddy dealer. Paid top dollar. Two
of them developed bubbles while the tread was still new. Replacement warranty
was still in effect, but the ****head Caddy dealer said I'd have to go to a
Bridgestone dealer to replace them. Local Bridgestone dealer did, which I
thought was really nice of him -- I hope he didn't have to eat the cost
personally. Turns out that the tires were obsolete when the asshold dealer
sold them to her, and they cost far more than they should have.

I hate Caddy dealers. All dealers are crooks, but Caddy dealers are the worst.

Any bulge in a tire sidewall is something to worry about--immediately!

Guess what? There is a specific exclusion at the front of the brochure
that excludes "bulges" caused by a long list of things.

Ok, you didn't bother to read what the warranty actually covered.

The dealer/manufacturer doesn't owe you anything, as far as I can see.
You have to buy at least one new tire. Front tires should match, so you
can either buy two new tires for the front and have a used spare, or
move the rear tire/wheel assemblies to the front, move the right front
to the right rear, and put a new matching tire on the left rear.

Personally, I'd put two new one on the front. That may be beyond your
budget, though. Your shop shouldn't charge extra for swapping the rears
to the front.
