Does it have to be braun?

I used phillips for a while and it was excellent.

I was thinking the same. The Philips is much better for any longer hairs,
and it works much faster. I could never get a good shave with the Braun I
had. OTOH the Braun may be better for people with sensitive skin. There,
that's added a macho element to this - real men use Philips! :-)

Call me effeminate, but I don't leave it so late as to need the benefits
of a philips on long hair!
I've tried Phillips, Remington and Braun.
Not too keen on the round blade things on phillips and they dont get up
close to your nose to get the edges of the 'tash.
Remington are excellent - but do not last - v poor build inside, cheap
re-chargables that have a short life (mo of recharges).
Braun overall excellent and they last
My opinion for what it is worth. different skin, hair, habits may make a
different choice more appropriate
